Prerequisites

Software

• PHP 8.3 or newer
• MySQL 8 (or MariaDB 10.6+)
• Composer 2.x (when installing from source)
• Apache with mod_rewrite enabled, or Nginx
• An SSL certificate (HTTPS is required for maps, push notifications and the apps)

PHP extensions

Make sure these are enabled: BCMath, Ctype, cURL, Fileinfo, GD, JSON, Mbstring, OpenSSL, PDO and PDO MySQL, Tokenizer, XML and Zip.

Most hosting providers enable these by default. Check your PHP version and extensions in your hosting control panel, or ask your host if you are unsure.

Domain layout

Install the admin panel on a main domain or a subdomain, never in a subfolder. A common layout is the customer website on yourdomain.com and the admin panel on admin.yourdomain.com.

Important: Follow the steps in order and keep a backup before changing a live server. A skipped step is the most common cause of installation problems.
