On shared or VPS hosting
- Create a domain or subdomain for the admin panel and point it to the server.
- Set the PHP version for that domain to 8.3 or newer.
- Create an empty MySQL database and a user with full access to it. Note the database name, username and password.
- Enable SSL (for example a free Let's Encrypt certificate) for the domain.
On a local machine
Install PHP 8.3+, Composer and MySQL (or use a bundle such as Laravel Herd, XAMPP or MAMP). Create an empty database before you start.
Document root
The web server must serve the public folder as the document root. If your host does not allow changing it, ask the support team and they will help you set it up.
